services to improve your (satellite) IoT business

Background
For 25 years, SatIoTLab founder Hub Urlings has been involved in satellite communications in several roles throughout all stages of the satellite service lifecycle. He worked on both sides of the Satcom industry. On the upstream side, developing Satcom platforms and building smallsats, and on the downstream side as commercial manager for Inmarsat mobile Satcom services or fixed Eutelsat Ku-band services.

He is heading the lab's consulting team that supports satellite operators, service providers, system integrators and sensor manufacturers with the development and commercialisation of satellite services.

Our service portfolio is based on our long experience and includes:

Product Marketing Management
Our experience reaches back to the early days of satellite IoT when we became the world market leader with Inmarsat-C at KPN Station 12 and later successfully introduced Inmarsat M, Mini-M and B services in the mobile land market.

Distribution Management
A key component in the marketing mix for satellite services. We were closely involved in the successful establishment of satellite service distribution networks. For KPN Station 12, a network of 200 global distributors for Inm-C. For Eutelsat, he did the same for a European distribution network for OpenSky, D-star and TooWay Ku-band services.

Sales and Business development
Operating in new market segments and finding customers can be challenging. We developed new markets and acquired customers for service providers like Skylogic, Castor Networks and M2sat.

Innovation Management
Research and Innovation projects challenge us to think in new ways, significantly advance existing technologies, and follow new ideas to design the best solutions for our customers.

Our team successfully managed a range of EU and ESA programs:
* Satisfy 2000 (EU project): Development of an L-band DVB-RCS platform
* SASS (ESA): Development of satellite-based Alarm and Surveillance System
* Com4offshore (ESA): satellite-based platform for communication and monitoring of off-shore wind parks
*  Hiber LPGAN (ESA): development of smallsat IoT constellation (with successful TRL9 validation)
* HiberDrive (ESA) Development of smallsat propulsion system
