SatIoTLab Q&A
Free format sessions with questions, answers and discussions

In the fast evolving IoT market, satellite connectivity is a key driver for new oppportunities. In these free format Q&A sessions we discuss both the technology developments as well as the customer side for satellite IoT: de market with the million verticals.

What are developments in critical and public infrastructure, wide area monitoring, water-management, smart agriculture

Are we really serious about tackling climate change? So why is the global datagathering infrastructure for these critical networks then so outdated? Our will investments in the coming time bring real improvements?

What will be the role of satellite communications and IoT do to support this?

IoT connectivity is a critical component of IoT, terrestrial networks however only cover 10-15% of the worlds surface. Only satellite IoT can connect from every location on the world.

Imagine there is low cost, low power, global IoT connectivity?

Current satellite connection are only suited for high value applications. With low cost connectivity the global IoT market will expand fabulously. Not only in existing markets, but also in markets currently not served. In particular the government and public sector will benefit with wide area telemetry and monitoring applications.

Help I am lost with all these different satellite (IoT) networks!

Currently there are 38 satellite IoT networks the offer their (non-standarized) connectivity services. Some of them are on the market for more then a decade and have proven themselves. Others exist only on Powerpoint. How can you choose between all these system?

Where can I learn more about this?

M2sat IoT Lab has a portfolio of courses to help you navigate the satellite IoT eco-system. Check our courses section.
